The first thing I plan to do is to familiarize myself with the winning groups marketing proposal for the Fargo Theatre. This is a key building block for success. In order to do this I plan to read over the report very carefully and understand it fully. I may also ask the winning group for some more input. The next thing I plan on doing is to gather as much research as possible on the Fargo Theatre to find out how they would like to market to NDSU students. In order to do this I need to gather as much information as I can about the Fargo Theatre and their past history of marketing. This will help to eliminate ideas that have been tried and don’t work. I should be able to gather most of what I need off the internet and other forms of media, but I may have to ask someone at the Fargo Theatre like Margie Baily for some more help. After I gather as much information as I can I must then start to put the pieces together. In order to do this effectively I will have to follow the guidelines that were given to me. But before I do that I will have to go over the section in the Johnson-Sheehan text that covers analytical reports. This will help me decide where to go in terms of the direction of my report. The first step will be finding my audience. I will do this by looking at my research and deciding where to go from there. I also must discover the audience’s needs in order to do this correctly. I will then go over the other points in a analytical report and do them to the best of my ability. The report must be as creative and innovative as I can make it while at the same time delivery a useful marketing strategy to the Fargo Theatre. I also believe I will have to spend time making the report run smoothly since I struggle with that. This will take many hours and must be started immediately.

marketing, what we need to do.
The first thing that must be done is brainstorming because it allows one to creatively come up with ideas that, while thinking carefully, may not come up. This includes everything from ideas on what the theatre should do physically, actually, and spiritedly. After coming up with a bunch of ideas and WRITING THEM DOWN, take the ones that are believed to be the best and test to see how they would work in not only today’s world, but in the future. After finishing up with brainstorming, one needs to look and see if the ideas would literally work. They need to take into consideration all outside factors which affects the theatre, solely. An example of this could be the limited amount of parking space the theatre has at its disposal.
The bottom line is that the ultimate goal is to not only make the Fargo Theatre do well when it comes to money, but also make it so future generations will appreciate it. As the theatre sits right now, it was revamped for older generations. Nothing about it attracts younger generations. One thing that has to change is the idea that something classical can’t become temporarily modern. Cheap decorations and lighting can make the difference between a classical to a modern scene. It also needs to not be seen as selling out. It needs to be seen as forwarding the theatre’s availability for future generations. If no interest is sparked in the theatre soon, all will be lost and what effort has been put into saving it will be a waste.

career goals
My main goal in my career is to always work for myself and start my own company. Though I am still in college right now pursuing a degree in business administration I have already started my career. Right now I am currently a realtor in Fergus Falls MN at Lakes Family Realty. My future plan is not to stay a realtor as a career choice but to use it as a springboard into land development. The site below has some info on land development.

I also plan on taking over my dad’s farm so that I can have another stream of income coming in to help back my other career goal. This last goal of mine is already taking shape since I hopefully will take over one hundred and fifty acres of my dad’s farm this coming year. I have also thought about getting into renting as well as house flipping. Below is some info. on rental properties and building your portfolio.

These smaller real estate ventures are risky but at the same time won’t cost me as much money to start up and can also help me get income to start developing.
